A couple weeks back, Andrew Ratzke reviewed the classic Proton Power, and had the usual issues with the stick (a tad flimsy, and tough to string), so as soon as I got my hands on a NEW Proton Power by STX, I had to see if any improvements had been made. Is the head tougher? Is it easier to string? If the answer to those two questions is yes, the Proton Power will take a big step up in the ratings department.
Colton Raichl of Lacrosse All Stars shows you how to get all the girls in another installment of Stick Trick Saturday (11/01/2013). The series is designed to be an inspirational guide for lacrosse players to get used to the properties of their own stick. Tricks are not just to show off but to develop a better relationship between the player and his crosse. This one is called the “The Girlfriend Getter.”
This week’s Forum Friday is a test of your stringing knowledge. Do you know the different types of string? CROSS LACE VS. SIDEWALL STRING.

But their latest project? It’s another big step up, and in the right direction.

Team STX goalie, Matt Russell, takes a shot to the face. Following the ricochet, Maverik United crease attackman, Erik Krum, makes a diving attempt to recover the loose ball. The ref said the ball was in the crease, Krum thought it was out. One way or the other, Maxx Davis and Andrew Casimir didn’t care, don’t mess with their goalie!
This week I will walk you through my approach to stringing an Iroquois top string. Like the Huron top string, the Iroquois top string features what I call a “dropped top string”.
The most recent LXM PRO event went down in Atlanta over the weekend, and Team STX came away with the 18-16 win over Maverik United. In a little over 10 minutes, STX went from losing 15-10, to winning 18-15.
