CT, NY, MD, VA, CO, CA, LI(long island has enough to count as a state), MA, PA, NJ… the list goes on. I would recommend emailing tournament directors if you don't know anyone already on a team and ask them if they keep a free agent list or something like that. One year in college I just went to Placid in Upstate NY and found a team that needed a couple more guys. Once you get in with a team, it gets even easier to find more teams to play on. Summer tourneys are a BLAST and you get to play a lot of lax. um, ok. I'm sure there are tourneys in Memphis, TX and other places.
The winter tourneys are fewer in number but are often populated with MLL guys, which is kind of fun. Miami, Hawaii, New Orleans, Jamaica, Bermuda… the list goes on. There is also a box tourney in Prague. And a tourney in Brisbane. So yeah… it's fun.

Make sure you refer to them as crawfish while you're down here! Find some place to eat some blackened gator (NOT FRIED!) and some crawfish etoufee. Or eat a burger at Port of Call. Or cheese fries at F&Ms. I could go on forever with this, so I'm cutting myself off (like a true Louisiana native, I comment on food before anything else).
