About a year ago I was watching Cornell play Syracuse on TV. I saw #3 come racing around the left side of the cage with (maybe) half a step on his defender. He was less than a yard above goal line extended when he dipped his stick and slung a low angle shot right past Cuse’s goalie.
I saw this, and thought to myself, “That SOB stole my move!”
The rest of this podcast is devoted to me badgering Rob to admit that he bit my style to achieve lacrosse greatness.
OK, do I actually think he did this? No. Clearly Rob Pannell has a style all his own and he’s earning his place alongside the lacrosse greats. But, it was cool to learn that Rob remembered me as his camp counselor from St. Anthony’s Lacrosse camp.
