Spotted: Lacrosse on “Community” TV Show

Goalie Lacrosse stick on NBC Community tv show

Spotted - lacrosse in unexpected places

Editor’s note: Welcome to another great installment of “Spotted”. With your help, we hope to shine a light on lacrosse spotted in unexpected places, whether it be on TV or in real life. If you find any aspect of lacrosse in a place you didn’t expect it, we would love to hear from you. Take a quick photo or video and submit it at LaxAllStars.com/Contribute!

Back in January, lacrosse was spotted on the TV show Community on NBC. I’m not quite sure what was happening in the episode, which appears to be “Geothermal Escapism,” the fifth episode of the show’s fifth season. Thanks to reader Jeff for the tip!

To me, the photo shows one thing and one thing only: a goalie stick is involved in some sort of shenanigans. Do you know what’s going on in this photo? Please fill us in by commenting below!

  • This episode was all about a campus wide game of hot lava, this is the reason for the chairs strangely duct taped to their feet. They were using the lacrosse stick to knock others off the chairs into the “hot lava” to win the grand prize of a $50,000 dollar comic book.

  • Tagged the LaxAllStars account on Instagram of a episode of The Office where I spotted a lacrosse stick being used in an odd way a few weeks back!

  • @cpurdy thanks for filling us in on what’s going on in this photo!
