Q. What can NYC do to help lacrosse become bigger in the metro region?

Growing up in NYC, I remember when lacrosse was a dry-well. While lacrosse programs in the public/private schools in the area have grown multiple-fold, along w/ advertising events such as the Big City Classic help... the constant hardship of searching/getting/renting/competing for field space (unlike the suburbs) will make NYC a tough place for the sport of lacrosse to really explode. How about making more turf fields/parks instead of the next multi-million condo/hi-rise building which are popping up everywhere?
