Stick Trick Saturday: Back Stop

Editor’s note: Welcome back to Stick Trick Saturday thanks to the unyielding support of Wolf Athletics, one of the most innovative lacrosse companies to join our stable of LAS Partners. LAS Insiders save BIG on the Ghost shaft from Wolf. We hope you enjoy!

Wiggity welcome back to Stick Trick Saturday, sorry to tease all of you East Coasters living in Hoth ( a Star Wars reference, sorry) with my beautiful Boise weather. Honestly, this Midwestern kid is really starting to miss the “white death” you all refer to.

Anyway, I’m busting out another fan submitted trick, this time from loyal trickster Eric Huben! The Back Stop is a lot like combing the Backspin with the Chest Bump!

The goal is to toss the ball up and watch it for a moment before reacting. Once you know where the ball will drop, bend over and align your shoulder blades under the ball. As the ball drops, softly bring your body down with it for a smooth landing. If you just let the ball drop it won’t be comfortable, I promise!

Pin that ball between your shoulder blades or let it come to a rest on the base of your neck, then just pop it back to yourself. I ran out of time on this week’s episode, so I never finish in a stall, but I urge you to try to master a stall to end the Back Stop!
