We took all of the first round teams of the 2014 NCAA Lacrosse Tournament and broke down each roster and divided the players by state and province. Since all of the rosters had to be checked by hand, we can promise that a ton of effort was put forth, but our numbers could be slightly off (nobody’s perfect)!

Five different Spiders scored goals as the inaugural men’s lacrosse season came to an end in the NCAA Tournament with a 13-5 loss at Air Force Wednesday night. Richmond finishes at 6-11 with an NCAA Tournament appearance to show for their efforts. Air Force improves to 11-5 and advances to face top-seeded Duke Sunday. Despite the overall record, Richmond ended the season with five wins in its last nine games and six wins in the last 12.

The College Lacrosse season is upon us, and while every team out there hasn’t played a game yet (NCAA D3 NESCAC teams don’t start practice for 5 more days), plenty of teams have seen game action, and others are putting up solid preseason video. That means one thing: It’s time for a Video Explosion!
We’re back again with the Alphabetical 2014 NCAA D1 Previews! Like last year, we’ll go through all of the D1 men’s teams for 2014 (there are 67 this year!) and we start things off with the United States Air Force Academy, located over a mile high in Colorado Springs, CO.
The Government Shutdown: Almost a million employees have been put on furlough or will be paid at a later date, federal parks have shut down, and passport delays are imminent. On a less national scale, the US Service Academies are suspending athletics on campus, and this obviously impacts lacrosse in a major way.

Joe Amplo and the men’s lacrosse team (along with all their staff) at Marquette need to be congratulated on the program’s first win EVER, which came on the road over a tough and athletic Air Force team, 8-6.
On Sunday, AFA and HPU met up for a quick turnaround game, with little prep time, and the Falcons emerged with a 14-4 victory on the road. Recap, photos, and video inside!
