The summer recruiting circuit draws ever closer. Pittsburgh players are spending more time on the road than ever before. If you’re a college coach, you’ll want to see these players compete in person.
Over 10,000 fans made their way to Michie Stadium for the annual Army-Navy game, and Army came out on top at home, winning 14-7, and upping their record to 8-3. Army now sits in second behind Loyola for the Patriot League. Navy drops to 4-7 overall with the loss.
We’re back again with the Alphabetical 2014 NCAA D1 Previews! Like last year, we’ll go through all of the D1 men’s teams for 2014 (there are 67 this year!) and we are now moving on to the Army Black Knights, located in West Point, NY.
This past weekend, St. John’s and Harvard traveled to West Point for a little outside scrimmage action. Fall ball is all about getting better, implementing fundamentals, working in new faces, checking out new gear, and most importantly, just playing some lacrosse!
The Government Shutdown: Almost a million employees have been put on furlough or will be paid at a later date, federal parks have shut down, and passport delays are imminent. On a less national scale, the US Service Academies are suspending athletics on campus, and this obviously impacts lacrosse in a major way.
On average, it looks like we’re seeing more goals in 2013, but the Syracuse – Army game was a low-scoring affair, with the Orange coming out on top, 6-2, in the Carrier Dome, over the visiting Black Knights.
Army’s John Glessner had three goals and two assists against UMass, and also broke a head right off the shaft on one of his shots. That’s some SERIOUS power!
