Each MLL Championship Game, and Championship Weekend presented by Smartlink, is different. Some result in physical brawls where teams trade goals and hits. That’s intense! Other finals have showcased some of the best lacrosse plays we’ve ever seen, and still others feature shooting the likes of which we rarely see. Major League Lacrosse’s 2006 title game was one of the latter.

Today we’re counting down the Top 5 Plays from the 2005 MLL Championship Game, which was won by the Bayhawks, 15-9, over the Lizards. As you may have guessed from the video, Gary Gait was named the game MVP.

In each MLL ad this year, only one or two players are named, and in each ad, the players named no longer play Major League Lacrosse. Paul Rabil’s name is everywhere, so maybe MLL doesn’t use him, but there are lots of active guys in the league right now, and many of them deserve some shine!
