National teams around the world are preparing to make the trip to Colorado for two weeks (or more in some cases) in July, and that means a lot of training camps, scrimmages, and quite a bit of fundraising!

Fullerton’s Paul Morgan to play for Mexico in World Championships
The lacrosse world will turn it’s eyes to Denver this summer, when national teams from 38 countries descend on the Rockies for the FIL World Lacrosse Championships. Sharing the field with guys like Paul Rabil, Ned Crotty and Max Seibald will be a somewhat less familiar name, unless you follow the Southwestern Lacrosse Conference’s Division II.
Durham Defeated by English Training Squad
This year’s Durham team stepped up to the plate this weekend, to take on the country’s finest in an exhibition game at Timperley lacrosse club. For the first time since Durham’s success in BUCS began the University side took the long coach journey down to Manchester to face not only an English team, but an English team made up of the top players in the country.
The Italians Need Your Help!
The Italian National team has set up a fundraising campaign in order to gather the much needed funds to cover travel and lodging costs in relation to Denver 2014. They can use all the help they can get to make the dream a reality, and to make sure the trip goes off without a hitch. A team can play at a much higher level when they don’t have to worry about outside factors, like finances.
Blue Division 2014: Iroquois In, Germany Out
News is starting to hit the wire that the FIL member vote on the Iroquois – Germany proposal has come back in, and that the Iroquois Nationals will be placed back in the Blue Division for the upcoming world lacrosse championships in Denver this Summer while Germany will be bumped out of the Blue Division.

Update – Denver 2014: Iroquois In, Germany Out?
The Iroquois were voted back into the Blue Division for the 2014 World Championships in Denver, but now it looks like Germany may be getting knocked out of the top division to make room for the Nationals. The matter is up for a vote this month by the FIL member nations.
