Today I’m checking out The Hawk by Epoch Lacrosse on LaxAllStars.com! I have been exposed to this head for months now, and I’ve seen it develop through 3D printing, talked to the original creator (Flip Naumburg), and learned a lot by being so intimately involved. This first hard experience gives me an unparalleled insight into this new product, and now I’m sharing that perspective with you.
The Five Finalists each created a #TotallyEpoch video using a GoPro Hero 3 camera. They got that camera from Total Lacrosse and Epoch because their Instagram entry was just that good. Then we opened up the voting to the masses! So now the tension has to be killing you… WHO IS THE GRAND PRIZE WINNER?
Contests where you can win gear for yourself are great, but contests where you can win gear for yourself AND all of your friends? Well that’s even better!
“Flip” is a video project that Epoch Lacrosse and Lacrosse All Stars undertook together with one goal in mind: to showcase a truly special and intriguing man with our community.
Epoch Lacrosse has released five generations of lacrosse shafts and today they release their first ever lacrosse head in The Hawk. Epoch developed this head in conjunction with Flip Naumburg of Vail, CSU, Rock-it-Pocket, and offset head technology fame. The head is something truly different, and I have been fortunate enough to play with a couple of recent prototypes.
It was not easy, but we have chosen the winner for the Epoch Lacrosse breast cancer awareness shaft giveaway contest. The LaxAllStars gang had a hard time selecting a winner, but Parker Nolan is the lucky recipient of a new Dragonfly from Epoch.
Only a couple of months after releasing their new and improved Gen4 shafts, Epoch is now getting set to also release their Gen5 shafts onto the market. The Gen4 shafts were lighter than the Gen3 shafts, and had a slightly different look. The Gen5 shafts take things a bit further, and offer Reload Technology that helps the shaft snap back into shape.
Our September content plan is off and rolling with some fantastic content surrounding everything that involves this great sport. Along with some great editorials from the likes of Connor Wilson, Jeff Brunelle, and many others, we will be unleashing plenty of Gear Reviews to get you ready to go for the season.
Epoch’s new line of shafts, the Gen4 version, are popping up in retailers across the country. Epoch sent over a great selection of their shafts for us to review, and after putting them to the test, we’re ready with our verdict!
Right now, my lacrosse loving cat, Albie, is in the box. What was in the box before he took it over? TONS OF LACROSSE STUFF!
Ratzke returns with a review of the third of four shafts from Epoch Lacrosse.
In part two of the Epoch reviews, Ratzke checks out the Dragonfly C30 shaft by Epoch Lacrosse. Looking for a new shaft? Maybe this is the one.
Andrew Ratzke checks out the Dragonfly X30 shaft by Epoch Lacrosse. How will this carbon stick stand up to Ratzke’s testing?
