There were a ton of great moments caught on film for the “Flip” movie we worked on with Epoch Lacrosse that didn’t quite make the final cut. One of those moments was when Flip and his CSU team saw Gary Gait in the airport randomly, and Gait came over to say hi to Flip. His players were a little shocked, and probably pretty impressed!

When you look at this lacrosse head I’ve strung up, you will notice that the bottom holes aren’t like any other lacrosse head. There are only 2 holes and the sidewall is so spaced out that you can’t really pull a leather through the last sidewall like you can with a STX Proton/Super Power. So I decided to use floating leathers in this pocket.
The lacrosse world championships traveled down under to Perth, Australia in 1990 but playing in the Southern Hemisphere didn’t do much to change the pecking order for national teams. Canada and the US obviously matched up for a great game and the video picks up the play with the US up 5-2 early in the second quarter.

Today we’re counting down the Top 5 Plays from the 2005 MLL Championship Game, which was won by the Bayhawks, 15-9, over the Lizards. As you may have guessed from the video, Gary Gait was named the game MVP.

It’s a bygone day, where the best of the best all used leather and cross lace to get the job done. Lizards and Bayhawks just going AT IT!
