The 2014 FIL World Lacrosse Championship was the largest gathering of men’s national teams ever. 38 teams played in the 2014 FIL event and we got to see a glimpse of the future right now. I’m going to run down some of the nations, and regions, that really impressed this Summer!

The Canadians have bounced back from the loss to Team USA on opening night to remain undefeated since and propelling themselves back in to the gold medal game. Thursday night in front of 7,889 fans, Canada stepped their game up in preparation for the rematch.

This week I will walk you through my approach to stringing an Iroquois top string. Like the Huron top string, the Iroquois top string features what I call a “dropped top string”.
Here are some reasons why you would string a dropped top string types of pocket. You can take it or leave it, but its important to know how the pockets will impact your stick before you take the time to put one in.
Over the summer, I used a mesh stick with an Iroquois top string during the ULAX Liberty Cup tournament. It had a quick and snappy release, which I love. I wanted to replicate those same concepts into a traditional stick.
This week’s Hot Pot features a deeper look into the Canadian Lacrosse League, also known as CLax. The league now has 6 teams, and all of them are in Ontario, which is a little weird. Still, good things are on the horizon for CLax we think!
