Throwback Thursday: Navy’s Improbable 2004 Run
A decade ago, in 2004, the Navy men’s lacrosse team made an epic run to the Final Four, and then in front of the whole nation, the Midshipmen did the unthinkable, winning their semifinal game, and matching up with Syracuse on Memorial Day.

Over 10,000 fans made their way to Michie Stadium for the annual Army-Navy game, and Army came out on top at home, winning 14-7, and upping their record to 8-3. Army now sits in second behind Loyola for the Patriot League. Navy drops to 4-7 overall with the loss.
Loyola Beats Navy 7-6: GIF Save City
Loyola travelled to Annapolis to take on the Navy Midshipmen on Saturday, and the Hounds emerged with a hard tough 7-6 Patriot League win, but it took two overtime periods to decide the winner. Both keepers saw some serious heat, and we’re rewarding them in GIF format for their excellent efforts.

The NCAA D1 season is now underway! During the first couple of weeks of lacrosse season we’ll be finishing up the Alphabetical 2014 NCAA D1 Previews! Like last year, we are going through all of the D1 men’s teams for 2014 (there are 67 this year!) and we are now moving on to the Naval Academy Midshipmen, located in Annapolis, MD.
Hot Pot: Government Shutdown Impacts College Lacrosse
The Government Shutdown: Almost a million employees have been put on furlough or will be paid at a later date, federal parks have shut down, and passport delays are imminent. On a less national scale, the US Service Academies are suspending athletics on campus, and this obviously impacts lacrosse in a major way.
