The first Tewaaraton Watch List has been announced for 2014 by the Tewaaraton Foundation. The event was held at the Union Club in New York City last night, and members from across the lacrosse community attended the event. Long early-season lists were released, but these lists are far from final, as additional players will be […]

Providence College made the short trip up Route 95 to visit Boston University last night, and the host Terriers dropped a 10-7 decision to the visiting Friars. Originally, the game had been scheduled to be played in Providence, but weather forced a change to Boston, and the game was played at Nickerson Field, where the […]
We’ve seen some pretty impressive long-range goals scored in college lacrosse, but I don’t know that we’ve ever seen anything quite like this! Failed clears and weird bounces can produce typical 15 yard plus scores, but very rarely do you see an absolute bomb from well outside the restraining box… it’s even more rare to […]
The D1 NCAA Lacrosse season is well underway, and every single D1 program has played at least one game. Some teams have played as many as four games already, and we’ve got a couple of undefeated squads looking strong early. It’s time to run through the D1 scene and see where things stand.
Yale hosted St. John’s in New Haven, CT for the Bulldogs’ season opening game last weekend and the Bulldogs came away with a 10-6 home win over the visiting Red Storm (1-1 with a win over Holy Cross). Around 1300 fans came out to see these two Top 20 teams play, which is a solid […]
Another great weekend of college lacrosse is in the books and some pretty superb video is already hitting the internet for many of these games. Gone are the days of reading score lines on the back page of USA Today… it’s the future. Take it to the house.
The Virginia Cavaliers men’s lacrosse team won their third game of the year (in their third one goal game of the year), topping Drexel 11-10. It’s hard to call a team battle tested this early in the year, but if anyone has the right to do so, it’s UVA.
After winning the Ivy League and defeating Penn State in the first round of last year’s tournament, the Yale Bulldogs will be just as dangerous in 2014 as they were last year.
Matt Poskay took over the Seahawks program in 2012, but Wagner has not seen a lot of improvement in the wins department as the program is 2-25 in those two seasons. To be fair, Wagner had only won two games total in the six years before that, so maybe it was actually a huge improvement.
The NCAA D1 season is now well underway, and it’s only February. Instead of previewing these last few teams, we’ll talk about their 2014 seasons so far, assuming they’ve played games… We narrow down the alphabetical list with the Virginia Military Institute (VMI) Keydets, located in Lexington, VA.

Instead of previewing these last few teams, we’ll talk about their 2014 seasons so far, assuming they’ve played games… We narrow down the alphabetical list with the Virginia Cavaliers, located in Charlottesville, VA. The Cavs are 3-0 right now, and each of their […]
Notre Dame took on Jacksonville down in Florida last night for the Moe’s Southwest Grill Classic, and the Irish put an absolute beat down on Jacksonville. Notre Dame went up big early and cruised to a 19-7 win with plenty of players seeing time.
A young UMass Minutemen squad took down #9 Ohio State in Jacksonville, Florida last night and our main man, Tommy Gilligan, was on the scene snapping photos. UMass looked tough from the first minute and when OSU made a run to tie things up in the fourth quarter, UMass showed some solid composure, eventually winning […]
Nikko Pontrello scored his third goal of the game only 19 seconds into OT to win the game for Loyola on an unassisted low dodge from behind. 12-11 win for Loyola in OT. We’ve got a game winning lacrosse GIF!
High Point suffered two road losses to Delaware (10-3) and Towson (11-8) but got back on track this past weekend with a home opener win over St. Joseph’s. The Panthers won the game 9-7 over the visiting Hawks after going up 5-1 in the second quarter, and taking a 6-3 lead into halftime.
