The D1 NCAA Lacrosse season is well underway, and every single D1 program has played at least one game. Some teams have played as many as four games already, and we’ve got a couple of undefeated squads looking strong early. It’s time to run through the D1 scene and see where things stand.

The NCAA D1 season is now underway! During the first couple of weeks of lacrosse season we’ll be finishing up the Alphabetical 2014 NCAA D1 Previews! Like last year, we are going through all of the D1 men’s teams for 2014 (there are 67 this year!) and we are now moving on to the Penn State Nittany Lions, located in University Park, PA.

With the majority of teams still only a few games into the season, it is definitely way too early to be making Championship picks… OR IS IT? Connor and Krieg think otherwise and have both picked their respective teams and why they believe each team will go home a champion on Memorial Day.
Notre Dame made the trek to Penn State’s University Park Campus for what many thought would be a great early season game… and this one delivered in a major way as the visiting Irish emerged with a 10-9 OT win over the host Nittany Lions, which saw action up through the very last second of play.
Penn State currently sits at 2-0 and a #8 national ranking, with wins over Michigan (11-6) and #11 Denver (15-12), and the Nittany Lions are on the tip of everyone’s tongue right now as a potential dark horse D1 contender. Is this a fair assessment?
