Making The Cut: Team USA’s Next Test

On October 5th, Team USA hopefuls will once again face a grueling day of lacrosse to decide who makes the team, and who gets cut. The 52 man roster has been split into 26 man “White” and “Blue” teams, and before taking on each other in an inter-squad scrimmage, the White squad will take on Loyola, while the Blue squad will face Towson. The games will be played as part of the Play for Parkinson’s Showcase on October 5th in Alexandria, VA.

USAMLAX Roster Cut to 52 – How My Roster Prediction Fared

US Lacrosse announced today the 52-man roster for the US Men’s National team that will compete in the World Championships next summer in Denver. Originally slated to have 46 players, this first cut keeps 10 attackmen, 13 midfielders, 14 long poles, 7 short-stick defensive midfielders, 4 goalies, and 4 face-off men. The final 23-man roster will be announced after various fall and winter events.

USA Women Dominate FIL World Lacrosse Championships

The US Women’s Lacrosse Team has claimed it seventh world title with a 19-5 win over Canada in the finals of the tournament, which has held in Oshawa, Ontario. The US was up 14-2 at the half and cruised to victory in the second, still outscoring their opponents 5-3. This is the ninth international tournament, and the ninth finals appearance the US women have made.
