In November, Team USA players visited San Clemente for a boys lacrosse clinic. This past weekend, San Clemente once again played host to a US Lacrosse clinic, this time a girls clinic coached by women’s national team players. MaxLaxOC was at both events, and captured some great footage.

US Lacrosse recently released 2014 rules changes and points of emphasis for the 2014 lacrosse season. Although not a ton has changed, the US Lacrosse rules committee continues to make advances toward keeping young athletes safe while competing in a full contact sport.
The initial HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) Lacrosse All-Star Classic to be held November 17 at Howard University’s Greene Stadium in Washington, D.C. The event is a doubleheader, kicking off with a high school all-star game at 1 p.m., followed by a college all-star game at 3 p.m.
Craig Chase shot some great photos at the USA – Loyola scrimmage last weekend in Alexandria, VA, but some of them are even better in sets! A couple of great images from a big hit makes for a great GIF, and in this case, the hit is VERY clean, and from what we can tell, completely legal.
If this were the NFL, every man on the US training roster would be breathing a sigh of relief, knowing they had made the final cut. US Lacrosse has announced the 98 man list of players that will try out for the 2014 US Men’s Team on Labor Day Weekend at Goucher College in Baltimore. Below you will find the list, which certainly contains many of the biggest names in the game, but we’re curious to know if YOU think anyone obvious was left off?
Earlier this week, we published the Scholar All American list for the NCAA. We felt like it was an overlooked list, so we gave those deserving players their own post. We’re not downplaying REGULAR All Americans at all, so here are the lists, with notes.
US Lacrosse, and the US Lacrosse Foundation, is also doing their part to GTG, and their most recent focus has been on Empowering Lives Through Lacrosse. They released a new promo video last week, and it’s definitely worth a watch.
The US Lacrosse High School Top 25 was released earlier this week, and while we don’t put too much stock in national high school rankings (it’s almost impossible to be truly accurate as there is still so little overlap), they are fun to see, and provide for great chatter.
