Crosse Clicks: West Coast Mesh

[dropcap]Y[/dropcap]esterday on Instagram, the team here at Lacrosse All Stars unveiled our plans to dive into the world of twine. We’re calling our premier product West Coast Mesh, and you’ve never seen anything like it before. It’s similar to your everyday waxed mesh, but – and please, don’t tell too many people about this – this mesh is actually dipped in reverse!

Okay, okay, by now you know we’re only kidding. We have no plans to play the wax game. We just thought it’d be fun to poke at the stringing world a bit because we’ve seen so many companies pop up lately!

Truth is, anyone starting up a business in the stringing realm needs to be smart, totally focused, and beyond savvy with a whole lot more than just wax. We’re talking serious dedication and know-how.

Companies like Jimalax, an LAS partner, have perfected their product to a point that’d be difficult to match, yet we receive emails and inquiries daily at LAS about new mesh companies popping up. Most of them come and go, and we rarely hear about them again.

There are a handful of mesh and stringing supply companies out there, however, who are killing it by offering quality product and great customer experiences, and we thought it’d be nice to recognize them. The name “West Coast Mesh,” is a take-off on East Coast Mesh by @EastCoastDyes of course. East vs. West.

Happy April Fools’ Day, folks. One day late.

[quote]When three Duke University lacrosse players were falsely accused of rape, in 2006, the media descended on Durham, North Carolina, quickly turning the case into a story of race and privilege. Most of the country all but assumed their guilt, thanks, in part, to an e-mail—violent, profane, and referencing Bret Easton Ellis’s American Psycho—sent by sophomore defenseman Ryan McFadyen. Never charged, McFadyen speaks to contributing editor and fellow Duke alumnus William D. Cohan, in an excerpt from Cohan’s new book, about putting the past behind him.
