There are a lot of people out there with ideas for spreading lacrosse in their community. Recently, we asked fans on the LAS Facebook Page to share their own perspective.
The prompt: In 200 words or less, please explain your favorite way to Grow The Game.
We received over 100 answers – some serious, others quite playful – and over the next several days, we’re going to be sharing a few of our favorite tips to #GrowTheGame.
GROW THE GAME TIP #23
This one comes from Mac Clay of San Diego, California.
“In Poway, I always have my lacrosse stick. We have this program called Team 200 where we (the high school jv and varsity teams) go and help the youngsters out with technique, and we have a great time. I’ve also introduced it to my family in Claremont, and I’ve got my cousins looking in to it and maybe they will start playing.”
Taking lacrosse to the community, and getting your family members playing: it’s basic, it’s local and it’s sustainable… and it’s a great way to #GTG!
