Music Wednesday? Eminem’s New Album

Happy belated Veteran’s Day to laxers everywhere!

I hope everyone took a few minutes this week to call up any relatives and friends who are veterans, or at least reflect on the amazing things that our service men and women do to maintain our free and comfortable lives.

We’re back with a new Music Monday, on Wednesday, and for this rare Wed morning edition, we’re having a look at rap legend Eminem’s new album, The Marshall Mathers LP 2. I’m going to go right ahead and say that Eminem was, is (still), and always will be, one of the best rappers in the game. Yes, he’s had some sub-par albums in recent years, but I think that Recovery and especially this new album, which released November 5th, show that he hasn’t lost a step and remains one of the best lyricists and collaborators.

MMLP2 includes a little bit of all of Eminem’s styles: “Survival,” “Monster,” and “Wicked Ways” have that big, motivational, pre-game sound we’re accustomed to; “Beautiful Pain” and “Headlights” are more serious and heartfelt; “Love Game” (not included here) has his jokester, light-hearted feel that he has been both praised and criticized for. Make sure you check out the entire album, but here is a sampling to get you started. Enjoy!
