I’m starting to come around to liking the stringing rules. I think it will encourage more players, especially younger players, to learn to string sticks properly.

Right now, the tapet can not be the same color as the head, but I would guess they will amend this to say it can also not be the same color as the shaft. I think they also need to state how wide the tape must be. Also, I think the tape should be a different color from the team’s gloves. All in all, this rule still needs to be better flushed out.

Any ideas on the exact specs on the “contrasting” tape that has been discussed for face-off guys. I can’t find any actual info, just quotes alluding to a change from previous years.

I don’t think that is the case. Restarts from an out of bounds play shouldn’t change. The restart rule applies to everything else, I believe. Pushes, illegal picks, etc.

So on a missed shot that the offense retains possession on that goes out right at “X” they will have to get a ball and restart outside of the box now, not from where it went out?
