We have won every game we have played against an MCLA team although the talent level has not been very good. I played out west in the MCLA before I came to Navy and I will argue that the talent level is comparable for both of the top teams in each division. MCLA teams like BYU and Michigan have a lot of talent but by comparison schools such as Ohio State, Navy, and Maryland have a ton of players who failed to walk on to the varsity squad or were cut for various reasons. An intriguing debate for sure.

The NCLL overall seems to be competitive with the MCLA. But like any game, it just depends on how serious the teams take themselves. Those that are out to goof off and have fun arent gonna be as good as those that take their team seriously. I’d love to see the top teams in the NCLL take on the BYUs, Michigans, Westminsters, and St John’s/St Thomas’ of the MCLA.

Given that some MCLA teams already compete against top NCAA D2&3 teams and even D1 teams, I’d have to assume NCLL would be the underdog. Can anyone out there chime in and represent the NCLL? I would love to learn more about the league.
