If you are going to argue that this is NOT the greatest goal in MCLA history, you better come with video evidence.
Last night we were glued to the screens of our devices watching the 18-0 Virginia Tech Hokies scrap it out with the 16-4 Colorado Buffs all the way to overtime.
It was only a matter of time until a hero would rise to the occasion, in this instance it was the Buffs’ freshman middie Colin MacIlvennie. Backing down on the two defenders keeping him from finding his angle on the island, MacIlvennie checks once and sends the ball over his left shoulder and sailing into the top right corner of the net.
The blind rip secured the Buffs a place in their 3rd straight MCLA Championship Game and the chance to win their second-straight national title!
Part of the reason this goal is getting so much love is because this was arguably the best battle of the 2015 MCLA season and it was all capped off with an 11-11 overtime.
