Even though his age is catching up to him the crazy moves he makes are those of an athlete, such as the crazy superman shots he used to do ALL THE TIME. but basically he is someone who gets people excited about the game, like hose fans were when KD started his jump shot. They loved him because of his electrifying style of play. I saw a machine game last year and while he probably wasn’t the best player on the team EVERYONE wanted his autographs SO BAD and he came over and he gave them, he was one of the last players to leave also. His personality was kind you could sense it. And we want people to associate personalities like that with lax. He’s played for so many teams oh don’t see why he could go for a “Rucker park” caliber team. He could play in tournaments on the west coach where lacrosse is a developing sport. His personality and great skill will run off as the younger kids watch him and think and dream of being like him. Chazz Woodson thanks for bein my role model and favorite player:)

Rabil because Durant became a legend by his amazing
performance/appearance in Ruckers Rabil is on his way to legendary
status because he pushes lax exposure. through the youth, media (BOOM
commercial),US team,etc. Durant is a ‘freak’ he
is long and tall but compliments it with finesse and grace in the game.
Rabil has a ‘freakish fast shot. and they both are hometown boys
choosing to rep there home state in college

***people who would play against Seibald
Wed, 03 Aug 2011 19:00:00 +0000http://laxallstars.com/?p=29928#comment-12253The player that really fits your description is Max Seibald. Three characteristics that a player would have to possess in order to crush the competition in those tournaments. They are a sense of humor, a great lacrosse skill-set, and the willingness to try something revolutionary. I don’t know about you, but when I think of those characteristics Max Seibald is on my mind! People who played against Seibald would have a lot of fun. They would be excited to play against him! Not just because he is famous, but because he makes the game a party! A serious player like Paul Rabil would be amazing to play with, but quite frankly would ruin the game. He would take it too seriously. Seibald just gives off an awesome vibe. He’s an all-around great athlete. He would basically play in every tournament he has time for: Placid, Vail, Ocean City, and Tahoe are the only ones that he NEEDS to attend, and he could just pick a few that he likes in between.
Wed, 03 Aug 2011 18:18:00 +0000http://laxallstars.com/?p=29928#comment-12251I’d have to say Matt Danowski and here’s why. Over his 4 years at Duke he absolutely dominated the field. In only 80 games he racked up 353 points! 4.4 ppg? And not only was he a top scorer with 170 goals, but he was a team player with 183 assists! Even after he graduated he came to Duke’s championship game against Notre Dame and cheered on his team to their first national title, what a team player. Plus even through the 2006 incident and all the bad rep lacrosse got he pulled through and still kept playing. In 2005 and 2007 he and his team lost the championship game to Johns Hopkins by ONE POINT, BOTH TIMES! But did that stop him? No. Look where Danowski is now? He’s a sponsored Warrior Lacrosse athlete in the MLL, playing for the L.I. Lizards, who are now in the playoffs with 3 other teams remaining. What a MANCHINE!

For himself in college and became a leader on all his teams. Runs great
Camps and really is down to Earth when dealing with the fans.
Wed, 03 Aug 2011 14:23:00 +0000http://laxallstars.com/?p=29928#comment-12243As stated, I have to say Mikey Powell. He seems to have a outgoing, lively personality that would make him a fan-favorite when he returns. Also, this would be the best way to return to lacrosse after being off.
Another player would be Johnny Christmas .
After taking time off for L. E. A. P. S. And his summer tourney team, I think he could use all of this as a showcase fir his Encore line
Wed, 03 Aug 2011 07:40:00 +0000http://laxallstars.com/?p=29928#comment-12234I think a good KD for lacrosse could definitely be Jeremy Thompson. He is a do it all throw back mid fielder. Face off, defense, and scorer. The role he has always played is a guy who runs up and down the field to do whatever job the team needs him to do whether its to rip corners, stop his man, or win a face off and then rip it. He also is unselfish, he dishes the ball and hardly forces it. He has lacrosse smarts that would help out an average tourney team. He could be the teams back bone and brightest star, but still dish the rock and make other people look good. Personally I would rather play with a pro that would occasionally help out others on the team by feeding and setting picks. Plus he could possibly bring back his traditional stringing, and that pony tail is just awesome.

Wed, 03 Aug 2011 05:33:00 +0000http://laxallstars.com/?p=29928#comment-12233I believe Paul Rabil is gonna be Lacrosse’s first Kevin Durant. He is the leading scorer in the mll right now and he is always commited to getting better. I was at a shooting demonstartion by Paul and he was explaining how he is always thinking of ways to improve his shot. He trains hard everyday, in-season and out, to ensure that he is the best on the field every game.

He even contacted the men’s league of Augusta, GA that I play in because he was interested in playing with us in a tournament just to play for the love of the game. He didn’t want to be so serious about it all the time. That just goes to show how much he as a player just flat out loves the game. He gained a whole lot of respect for that in my book.

Wed, 03 Aug 2011 04:42:00 +0000http://laxallstars.com/?p=29928#comment-12231So who is the Kevin Durant of Lacrosse? A: Key words who is … No one has done this yet (i.e. moonlight in the professional league offseason with a team of amateurs and the result become an viral youtube video) So right now no one is the Kevin Durant of Lacrosse
Who could step on over to the Summer Club tourney scene and dominate like KD? A: Key word could… Kevin Leveille is by far the most jaw dropping player I’ve ever competed against. I think his level of stick skills and vision suggest telepathy. He feeds and scores offball and he uses ATW/BTB more often than conventional passes/shots. He also is seenplaying with various levels of talent around him despite being an MLL all-decade team selectee. Where would they have to play?
A: I think those tourneys mentioned are a good list, but some to add are War At The Shore which has 88 mens teams in open A and B. Also the Bigfoot Bender, although small, could be a good place to “put the team on their back.” Another good one is the Dan Spillett Memorial Indoor Lacrosse Tournament every December 26th in Syracuse NY. It’s a box tournament with a lot of scoring and it brings in a who’s who of NCAA and Pro talent with Section III roots
Just my thoughts, others might disagree
Wed, 03 Aug 2011 03:20:00 +0000http://laxallstars.com/?p=29928#comment-12229I like where this thread is going, but I’d like to point out the huge difference between the NBA and MLL, and just lax and basketball in general…the fact that it is so rare that a huge star like Durant would play in a place like Rucker Park is cool, but the lacrosse community is so tight-knit and intertwined that its more likely that you might play against a former or current pro…I played in the ALL last year against Mt. Washington and they had a bunch of current Bayhawks….while it sucked to have Buggs Combs tearing your team up, I liked that the gap between the amateurs and the pros isn’t as large as in the NBA and that I got the chance to cover a player like him
That said, I think a guy like Siebald could do the total takeover in a tournament, Crotty, MP, Bitter and Walters are all great at offense but Siebald is the up and down kind of guy that could dominate the whole field in summer ball
