The average person is going to pick the Eagle GoPro video over the lacrosse videos every single time, but that’s just because they don’t understand just how awesome lacrosse happens to be. It’s okay, we’ll forgive them. So what do YOU think? Which GoPro video is better?

NYC ULAX fall ball is back! The league features great diversity in terms of talent and experience, and it’s not uncommon to see a Wisconsin helmet or local HS player matched up against a D1 alum or current MLL player. The games are fun, and can get a little intense, but everyone keeps a certain moniker in mind during the action: “we all have to work on Monday”.
August 23rd-25th The Chicago Outlaws hosted a four team shootout in the Sears Centre. CI2L box lacrosse at it’s finest.
Please welcome PJ Martin, of UnCommon Fit to LAS! PJ was in Philly for the Philadelphia Box Lacrosse Association’s Championship Game on Monday night, and he got to take in some gritty Canadian-style box lacrosse right here in the US… and in the City of Brotherly Love! Ironic, right? Check out PJ’s experience at the Rizz, and learn a little more about what just might be the best men’s box lacrosse league in the US.
Oh my holy goon-fest. You know it’s bad when every reaction is, “oooahhh.” That was Jack Lingo playing in the OC tourney. They had some top names on the squad like Bradman and Harrison, but also some real meatsticks, like Josh Rachman. Bringing the pain in a serious way. Ouch. Ok, now that the pain […]
The 2013 CityLax Southampton Shootout went off on Saturday, August 24th without a hitch. Teams showed up ready to play, the weather was beautiful, the fields were cleanly lined and mowed, and the lacrosse atmosphere was ideal!
Sometimes you get lucky and capture a fantastic highlight reel goal in a meaningless Summer game. That really doesn’t make it any less awesome. Glenn Adams (Wesleyan ’06) tucks a behind the back stinger on the crease after dodging through the defense with a flashy double spin move.
The Lacrosse Network was up in Stowe, VT for the Bitter Lacrosse Stowe Lax Fest, and they put together this killer video on the event. I love the opening segment, which honestly shows the frustration that can go into running an event, but also how the lacrosse community will pull through just about anything to make an event go off.
It’s time. We’ve been teasing you with clips from The Lacrosse Network’s Team TLN for a few weeks, and now we have a full four minutes of action from our tournament at the Orange County Great Park at the beginning of August.
Sometimes, you just need a nice, clean time and room goal in your day. Nothing flashy about this one, just a skip pass to a set-your-feet-and-rip-it from Team TLN middie and Southland Lax alum David Lee.
One of my fellow attackmen on Team TLN is Kyle Peterson (San Marcos ’13). Kyle is a pretty cool guy, and he was a prolific scorer in his two years of college ball. Last season, he led MCLA Division II in points per game, with a whopping 8.5 a contest and over 100 points on the season. Kyle showcased his skills with Team TLN with this slick backhanded flip goal on the crease.
This past weekend I was lucky enough to attend, and participate in, my first Brawl in McCall. The Brawl is a fairly small tournament on the beautiful Payette Lake, a few hours north of Boise, Idaho.
A good number of the #LASNation is either heading up to Lake Placid today, or already up there. The Lake Placid Summit Lacrosse Classic is THE Upstate New York lacrosse event of the Summer, and we’ll be bringing you updates if you’re not fortunate enough to be there yourself.
Heeyoung Leem, one of the FOGOs on the Team TLN team I played on last weekend, rocked a GoPro in some of our games and got some great footage. The camera falls off right away in the first game, and is picked up by the ref – all hilariously caught on camera. Hee strapped on the GoPro for another game and caught footage of our warmups and some of the game.
Established 24 years ago, the Lake Placid Summit Lacrosse Tournament has developed a rich history and become one of the premiere lacrosse events in the country. This year’s tournament runs from August 5th until the 11th, and feature boy’s and girl’s scholastic divisions, men’s and women’s open divisions, men’s Masters, Grand Masters, and Super Grand Masters.
If the title of this post alone didn’t intrigue you, I’m not sure what will. This past weekend, I suited up with Team TLN of The Lacrosse Network, and Salisbury long pole Knute Kraus made me look really good after I fed him this ball.
Here’s a great shot captured by TLN’s Contest Colin. The player pictured is Southland Laxer Knute Kraus (Salisbury ’15), and not only is he rocking a jammy pack pre-game, but the Orange Balloon is prominently featured in the background.
In this episode of WLA Weekly we cover the games form the last regular season of the Western Lacrosse Association. We look forward to the playoff games, the NLL’s return to British Columbia, and an interview with Maple Ridge Burrards Captain Jarrett Davis.
