Home High School
High School Lacrosse news and commentary. From East Coast to West Coast, we've got high school lax coverage from every region!
We got two kind of crazy high school lacrosse goals via the LAS Tipline last night, so we figured why not pit these two bizarre markers against one another, and see which one the people think is crazier! Both goals are pretty rare things to see, so we're curious if one is weirder than the other!
Our fourth Club Directors Panel presented a bit of a challenge for our participants, because we asked about attitudes of those associated with off-season lacrosse. By no means are we being accusatory of our panel, but as the scene continues to evolve, we are simply wondering what they're experiencing from their side of the table.
With the proliferation of tournaments and showcase camps, elite level instructional opportunities have become more and more rare. There are more opportunities to play the sport than every before but not as many opportunities to learn and develop skills from talented teachers.
Welcome back to another exciting week of lacrosse in NYC. Tottenville remains as the only unbeaten team left in the “A” division. Meanwhile Eagle is 6-0 over in the B with a scare against Midwood winning 9-8. We are in full swing and all the public schools in NYC are going on spring break. Most teams will still host practice over break while others will look to scrimmage other clubs.
I'm not going to lie, I am VERY excited for tonight's Albany vs. Johns Hopkins game on ESPNU (7pm ET). In my rabid fandom I searched for videos of the Thompsons, and while I came across a number of well known classics, I also found a hidden gem that has somehow slipped through the cracks. How does this video of Lyle Thompson (playing for Lafayette HS) only have 771 views?
A three minute highlight tape is better than nothing. Everyone gets to see some big goals and their attention span is not tested to any serious degree. When an 11:00 minute plus highlight comes out, it had better be good, and it had better feature two very good teams.
