Unclaimed 2014 Face Off Specialist

JP Masaryk is a rising senior (2014) from Fairfield Prep in Fairfield, CT and surprisingly, this Face Off prospect hasn’t committed anywhere yet. Late bloomer in the house? Perhaps! Check out the video of JP below, and tell me this kid doesn’t have some potential!

2015 Canadian Long Pole Throws Junk

When it comes to top level defensive recruits, it often seems like the junk throwing, slap check happy, risk taker is a thing of the past. Most of these top level recruits are athletic and tough position guys, who have great feet and excellent size… but every once in a while we get a throwback, and I’m thinking Michael Moriyama fits that mold pretty nicely.

2016 Goalie: Canadian Stopper Shows Promise

Goalie

Caelahn Bullen isn’t the biggest goalie in the world. but he definitely impressed me with his positioning, as well as his ability to react to shots from in close. I’ll let you decide if you think his game is on point or not (I think it is), but there are a couple of other points about this young prospect that make me think of him as a winner…

Hot Pot: The Next Tucker Durkin

Tucker Durkin’s high school highlight tape quickly became a thing of legend (at least in my mind) because of the sheer ferocity on display. Durkin thinks man first, and makes the opposition pay time and time again. If you haven’t seen it, it’s truly worth a watch or ten. He just knocks over everybody out there.

Empire Cup Champs: NYC Interview

New York City has now claimed their second straight Empire Cup title, and after years of being the doormat of the Empire Games (the EC’s predecessor), the City’s region team rise is definitely something worth noting. I got to catch up with NYC’s coach, Ben Kaminow (a Syracuse club player in the 80s), to discuss the team, and how the New York City lacrosse landscape is rapidly changing, and improving.

Video: 2014 Man-Child Lacrosse Prospect

When I say man-child, I mean man-child. Cole Miller is a 6’4″, 215+ pound player out of Ridgewood, NJ, who will be attending Avon Old Farms next year. Nothing too crazy so far, but unlike most guys approaching six and a half feet, Cole doesn’t play defense.

Today, at NOON ET, LaxAllStars will be hosting a LIVE Google Hangout on the subject of Recruiting, Elite Teams, and Travel Lacrosse! Our knowledgeable guests will include Trevor Tierney (of Tier Lacrosse), Xander Ritz (of Adrenaline Lacrosse), and Lee Southren (the founder of the NJ Riot).

Hot Pot: I LOVE This Kid’s Game!

Lacrosse standouts at younger ages are often the bigger kids, or the best natural athletes, but that isn’t always the case… in fact, sometimes you see a kid who lacks BOTH size AND speed, and yet he STILL manages to impress. This is one of those cases…

NJ Riot Interviews: Josh Karp

As we follow the New Jersey Riot 2016 team, and update you on their first hand experiences at camps, tournaments, and other events in the club lacrosse scene, we will also introduce you to some of their players via interviews. We want to know how potential college players think nowadays, and there is no better way to get informed than by talking to the players of today!

Reader Poll: Fastest Growing State for HS Lacrosse

This week’s Reader Poll is all about growth – more specifically high school growth! Obviously we are all about the growth of the game and as several of our staffers are heavily involved at the high school level, we knew this would make the perfect poll.

Breaking Down 3D New England Vs Sweet Lax

Earlier today, we showed you a ton of really solid summer lacrosse highlights from recruiting events, camps, and tournaments. Here’s another Summer game, featuring 3D New England and Sweet Lax 2017 players, and it was a highly enjoyable game to take in, especially for Elite Summer Club ball.
