USAMLAX Roster Cut to 52 – How My Roster Prediction Fared

US Lacrosse announced today the 52-man roster for the US Men’s National team that will compete in the World Championships next summer in Denver. Originally slated to have 46 players, this first cut keeps 10 attackmen, 13 midfielders, 14 long poles, 7 short-stick defensive midfielders, 4 goalies, and 4 face-off men. The final 23-man roster will be announced after various fall and winter events.

As a sponsor of boys and girls lacrosse at the 2013 JCC Maccabi Games, Israel Lacrosse hosted a clinic in between games to expose people who had never seen lacrosse before to the sport. Israel Lacrosse brought in former Dartmouth and Long Island Lizards goalie Andrew Goldstein so that everyone at the clinic could take some shots against a great keeper!

The women’s world championships crowned the US as champs, and the team set a number of records in the process. This was the US’ seventh (out of 9 total) title, and the first time the Canadians had won Silver.

2018 FIL Lacrosse Championships: Back To Manchester

News is quickly spreading that the 2018 International Lacrosse Championship, hosted by the FIL, will return to Manchester, England. 2018 will mark the FOURTH time England has hosted to FIL games (1978, 1994, 2010 and now 2018), and this will give England more FIL games hosted than any other country.
