This week’s spotting comes via the tip line from reader Sergey Baklykov, who spotted this boy holding a lacrosse stick in the TV show NCIS. The spotting is of the 200th episode of the show NCIS, which occurred on the Episode 14 of Season 9. The show is now on its 11th season.

Welcome back LAS to another Music Monday! I know it’s not everyone’s favorite day of the week but I’m hoping these songs can make your day just a little bit better.
Just as it sounds, we’re back with the nightly post of Music Monday to give you three new tracks that make up a perfect night of music…just enough of everything. ‘Nuff said.

On September 28th and 29th, Syracuse University, in association with the Onondaga Historical Association (OHA) and Skä-noñh—Great Law of Peace Center, will put on the first ever Haudenosaunee Wooden Stick Lacrosse Expo. The event, which will be free, and open to the public, will take place at Onondaga Lake Park in Liverpool.
Peter Carey put up a video on YouTube featuring Chris Bocklet and Steele Stanwick talking about shooting and scoring goals, and it’s time to listen up, because these guys are two of the better shooters and scorers to ever come out of Virginia! Bocklet tells a great story about being forced to re-learn proper mechanics once he got to college, and Steele like to pretend his stick is a paint brush… why? It’s all about painting pipes!
I was out in Syosset, Long Island, recently and took in a FoGoLax.net camp. I’ll have more from the camp in the next week, but for now I wanted to share some great video I got from the session. It’s just face offs, up close and personal. It might look like an ugly scrap from afar, but up close the Face Off battle is a work of art, and something to behold.
Saturday means stick tricks… and this week it’s the Picture Taker. Soft hands, knowing where the ball is, and control… this trick requires it all. Give it a shot and take your game to the next level.
A great leader will not be a leader of followers. He or she will be a leader or leaders. Being selected as a captain last year was one of the most rewarding happenings of my lacrosse career. Many, if not the majority, of my teammates were captains or, at the very least, leaders on their college teams. Many had been on multiple professional rosters. They’d all been around the game at a high level for a while. To me, being…
Kacy Small is back on LAS with another great article. Last time, Kacy talked about the differences between FIL and NCAA lacrosse rules, and now he’s back with a fantastic Friday post on his Lacrosse Dream Team, culling athletes from the NBA, NFL, and professional boxing. He makes a strong argument for why his chosen athletes would see success. What do you think… could we get some of these guys to pick up a stick?

Brine has responded to the criticisms I, and others, have put forth about their new mobile game, Hotshot, in the best possible way: with an update designed specifically to address those criticisms. I’ve spent a week playing the new update, and am ready to re-review the game.
Boston Cannons defenseman and Loyola graduate, P.T. Ricci, stops by to share his story, and how he got on the road to Major League Lacrosse.
Welcome Gordon Corsetti back to LAS! Gordon has been researching the roots of the game, and sharing his findings with us. It’s an informative and exhaustive look at the history of modern lacrosse.
Earlier this month reader Carlos Cruz-Perez hit up the tipline with this spotting from Nicelodeon TV show Sam & Cat. Unfortunately the YouTube video he sent us was taken down, but I was able to grab a screenshot before that happened.
Thank God it’s Labor Day! Thanks to those good ol’ Knights of Labor, we had an extra day to keep the weekend alive and celebrate the end of summer.
Good Labor Day morning! One of my buzz words for this year has been FORWARD. It will probably continue to be one of my buzz words through the end of the year, into next year, and beyond. Sometimes progress happens a lot slower than we expect. And while it’s tough to swallow, I occasionally have to remind myself that any progress is a good thing. As long as I’m not standing still or moving backward then I’m on the right…
It’s the end of Summer. Time for barbecues, that last dip in the pool or trip to the beach, and family reunions. When members of the Seiler clan come together, all of the above may go down, but what’s REALLY happening is a great game of family lacrosse!
