John Grant Junior recently hit a huge NLL milestone: 600 career goals. Junior is only the third player to hit this mark, joining John Tavares and Gary Gait in the 600 club. A lot of well-deserved congratulations went out to the Mammoth star, but none funnier than this from face-off man Jerry Ragonese:
Toronto Rock star Garrett Billings was recently the subject of a CNN.com article in the site’s “Human to Hero” series. According to its website, “Human to Hero gets to the heart of what it takes to be a sporting star.” In Billings’ article and video, he discusses the abundance of lacrosse players on Wall Street, the lessons of playing college lacrosse that translate to the professional world, as well as the growth of the game and a bit about his personal life.

There are only a few weeks left in the NLL season and the playoff race is in full force. Rochester and Edmonton have locked up a playoff spot in the East and West respectively. The race couldn’t be closer as Philadelphia and Vancouver have gained wins recently.
We are absolutely loving Garrett Thul right now. The man was a beast at Army, and when he played in the Salt Shakerz tourney a couple years back he was unstoppable. Now, he’s one of 30 guys vying for 23 spots on Team USA, and he’s ripping it up as a rookie in the National Lacrosse League.

The Buffalo Bandits won the MILL title in 1992 and 1993. In 1994 they made it back to the Finals where they took on the Philadelpia Wings. The Wings had both Paul and Gary Gait on their team, as well as some other real legends, and they wanted to knock off the Bandits badly.
Welcome to a Throwback Spotted! We have found some YouTube footage of Dallas Eliuk, an NLL Hall of Fame goalie who played most of his career with the Philadelphia Wings, as a contestant on The Price Is Right, of course hosted by the legendary Barker.

The NLL season is coming down the home stretch. It is hard to believe that we have already seen 12 weeks of NLL action – maybe extending the regular season isn’t such a bad idea after all.
Three more games in the books and we are one week closer to the playoffs. Edmonton extended their undefeated streak over Toronto, Calgary demolished Toronto, and Rochester edged out Colorado.

Making the announcement this morning, the Colorado front office named three former Mammoth stars as the replacement coaches to finish the 2014 season: Pat Coyle, Chris Gill and Dan Stroup.
