We are absolutely loving Garrett Thul right now. The man was a beast at Army, and when he played in the Salt Shakerz tourney a couple years back he was unstoppable. Now, he’s one of 30 guys vying for 23 spots on Team USA, and he’s ripping it up as a rookie in the National Lacrosse League.

Sportscasters, College Presidents, and the even the average man on the street, typically dismissed the idea that college athletes should get paid. A select few saw a new potential reality, but now that Northwestern’s Football Team has been granted the right to unionize, people are starting to approach the topic with more nuance (well, sometimes…) and some deserved gravitas.
Welcome to another week of great NLL Lacrosse action! We’re previewing the weekend’s games, talking about last week’s games, making picks, and talking fantasy lacrosse!
The Buffalo Bandits won the MILL title in 1992 and 1993. In 1994 they made it back to the Finals where they took on the Philadelpia Wings. The Wings had both Paul and Gary Gait on their team, as well as some other real legends, and they wanted to knock off the Bandits badly.
Welcome to a Throwback Spotted! We have found some YouTube footage of Dallas Eliuk, an NLL Hall of Fame goalie who played most of his career with the Philadelphia Wings, as a contestant on The Price Is Right, of course hosted by the legendary Barker.
There wasn’t much action that went down at the NLL trade deadline, but there was plenty of action to go around last weekend.

Three more games in the books and we are one week closer to the playoffs. Edmonton extended their undefeated streak over Toronto, Calgary demolished Toronto, and Rochester edged out Colorado.
Well the coaching void didn’t take long to fill. Yesterday, the Mammoth announced that they fired their coaching roster, all except Dallas Eliuk who was brought on to improve the goaltending before the 2013-14 season. Making the announcement this morning, the Colorado front office named three former Mammoth stars as the replacement coaches to finish the 2014 season: Pat Coyle, Chris Gill and Dan Stroup.
The Colorado Mammoth have announced that head coach Bob Hamley and assistants Ed Comeau and Sean Ferris have been relieved of their coaching duties effective immediately.

Only three games went down this past weekend, but two games were a one-goal game and the other game was decided by two-goals. All three games were packed full of action and there were even a few upsets.
Welcome to Throwback Thursday! The year is 2001, and Major League Lacrosse has just completed their first season of real play. Long Island took down Rochester in the first semifinal, and now the Boston Cannons are taking on the Baltimore (now Chesapeake) Bayhawks!
Kevin Buchanan has done almost everything there is to do in the MLL, he won a championship, he has been a multi time All Star, and he won a freestyle competition by jumping over the goal. He has elevated his game to the point that he is one of those guys that has become one of the faces of MLL. We went to him to talk about his time Pre MLL, when he attended The Ohio State University
The Ohio Machine have gotten an LXM infusion. Kyle Harrison was picked first by the Machine in the special Major League Lacrosse waiver wire process opened to include LXM Pro Tour players after the deal announced Feb. 13 between MLL and Adrenaline that allowed LXM players to play MLL and vice versa.
