The last time the Chesapeake Bayhawks faced off against the Boston Cannons, the Cannons were 0-3, with the worst season start in franchise history. That game ended in with an overtime victory for the Cannons at Harvard stadium, and would lead to a monumental turn around seeing Boston winning 4 of the next 6 games, putting them back in playoff contention.

Much ado was made by many in the lacrosse world concerning the return of Casey Powell to Major League Lacrosse last night, and for good reason. The 37 year old superstar has been a force in pro lacrosse (both indoor and outdoor) for years, and Casey showed no signs of slowing down in his 2013 MLL debut, and return to the league, after a brief retirement.
Over on Adrenaline’s website, it has been announced that both Rhamel and Shamel Bratton will be switching teams this weekend. Instead of donning the blue and white of Team STX, they will now be wearing the neon green and grey of Maverik United. In today’s MLL, the culture of consistency has become more vital to an organization’s success than ever before. It’s no longer about assembling the best group of all-star caliber players and throwing them out on the field, it’s about finding personnel that fit a system and are both willing, and able, to stay local, and together, as much as possible.
Joe Walters scored a behind the back goal off a behind the back feed from Jordan MacIntosh. It’s an All-Star highlight, and exactly what one would expect from some of the world’s best.
When All-Star weekend came to the Queen City, we had to see it for ourselves. Chris Rosenthall takes in the All Star Game, tailgating, and some tasty BBQ in North Carolina!

This year’s MLL All Star Game consisted of two teams: Team Supernova and Team Eclipse. Team Supernova won with a score of 24 to Eclipse’s 15. It was lopsided in the first two quarters with not much more than a glimmer of hope in sight for Eclipse.
Rob Pannell, Max Seibald, and Joe Vitale put on a shooting demonstration earlier this Summer at a New York City Doc’s NYC/Maximum Lacrosse Camp, and we got some great video of these guys ripping rope.
We love it when a goalie takes the rock down field and scores. We love it even more when it happens in the MLL. When it happens in the MLL and it’s not Brett Queener? SHOCK AND AWE!
The Outlaws make history, the Bayhawks barely escape an upset, and Tucker Durkin takes out two Rattlers

A woman complained of a man allegedly trying to take inappropriate photos of her in a supermarket, and professional lacrosse player Paul Dawson was there to help detain the suspect. Of all the people in the world, I can think of few better suited to this task than an NLL tough guy!
Only a few weeks back, the Boston Cannons were seemingly in free fall, sitting in seventh place with a 1-5 record. Since that time, they have changed their head coach, added in a couple of new faces, and rattled off four straight wins. Currently, they are in fourth place, and they looking solid as the playoff race heats up.
