Tommy Gilligan is helping out at a yard sale today in New York, and he came across a true gem… an old plastic Brine goalie stick from Geneseo State!
Today, Thursday July 25th, at 2pm Eastern Time, Connor will be hosting a Traditional Thursday Google Hangout LIVE with Contest Colin from The Lacrosse Network! To view the traditional talk session, just head on over to the LaxAllStars YouTube page and Subscribe!
Stylin Strings sent over an LAS-themed mini stick, complete with a pita pocket, and I love that mini sticks are getting the traditional love.
This week we look at the Pita Pocket, and how we can help a community member get the hold he wants in his pocket. Know how to help? Make sure to sound off in the community forum!
This week’s Traditional Thursday features a feat none of us at the LAS mothership have ever tried before: A Goalie Traditional.
Here is a little video from Greg about breaking in your traditional pocket, and getting the leather to stretch, without getting too much whip on your wand!
Doug Trettin is back with another killer traditional pocket, and this it’s a one of a kind prototype, called the EverPocket Zeroh (as in zero buttons!). If you’ve seen Doug’s older EverPockets, you know he is a button King.
We’re back with a little more on Jeremy Thompson, as he’s been rocking a new traditional stick, and it’s got a Replaceable Top String!
This week, one hot topic has been around one member’s issues with some leathers in his stick. He’s just not quite sure why they are messing up on him. Check out the post and a picture of his dilemma here.
This week’s Traditional Thursday post is pretty epic. We have a video interview with Jeremy Thomspson after a recent Nationals game, photos of Jeremy’s stick in action (it’s a traditional variation that is NEW to us!), AND some expert tips from Mr. Thompson himself!
This week’s Traditional Thursday focuses on two new pockets Connor Wilson strung up, the Drop Top Traditional and the Double Traditional. Connor also answers some fantastic reader questions, and keep dropping that tradish knowledge!
Towards the end of the college season, work picked up to the point that I couldn’t string as much as I’d like to, but now that things are slowing down just a little bit, I’ve found the time to dial just a couple of sticks… here’s a look at some of the heads I’ve been stringing.
The College All Traditional Team is back for 2013 and better than EVER! More NCAA D1 lacrosse players using traditional means a bigger team. See who made this all-star squad for the 2013 season!
Last week Billy met up with a couple of guys from Throne of String, Cesar and Chris, and the three of us got the chance to hang out, and learn how to string traditional, down in Brooklyn, with the one and only Greg Rose of Zen, Lacrosse, and the Art of Stringing.
Lance Gibson strung up a super clean 6-diamond traditional pocket in a brand new Brine Clutch Elite, sent the photos in, and even referred to it as a “Connor Pocket” because he used a tear drop top string. I am honored that anyone would name their traditional work after me, but when a stringer of Lance’s quality does it? It’s a pure compliment!
