Traditional Thursday: Billy’s Recent Work

I learned how to string traditional earlier this summer at Greg Rose and Connor’s apartments in Brooklyn, I never stopped stringing since. I even took my talents to California where I was stringing out of a pick-up truck for two weeks. Since then I’ve been back in New York stringing for locals and even teaching lessons on stringing.

Some of these pockets have been used in multiple heads already, and some have even been played with in the rain. These leathers take a beating from scooping groundballs on the NYC concrete sidewalks. I’ve been trying a little bit of everything, from removable top strings to sidewalls and water-proof leathers.

Below, I show off a couple different methods that I’ve used to attach the leathers to the head which proves that the mind is connected to the body after all… somehow.
