Traditional Thursday: Tom Garvey JHU & MAV

It’s time for Traditional Thursday!

Tom Garvey gave me an older STX Proton+ from his days at Johns Hopkins and he wanted a pocket thrown in there so he could either use the stick while coaching or put it on display. I decided to up the ante a little bit and throw in a second head, which I dyed to resemble the Hopkins head (at least in style), to commemorate his time playing for Maverik United in the LXM PRO.

I went with Maverik’s Metrik Universal spec head for the head on the right. Both leather and cross lace combinations are single string traditional pockets. Nothing fancy here, just a proven product.

Make sure you check out the rest of our EXTENSIVE #TraditionalThursday Archive. It’s jam packed with excellence.
