Do you think it would be possible to do other traditional pockets such as the pita pocket using twisted strands of nylons instead of leathers? Or would it just be better to use synthetic leathers?

First and only to do what - all synthetic traditional?

If that's what they mean then no, not the first by about 30 years.Does anyone remember Ulman? They had a stringing style they called "Ul-Traditional" where they replaced the leathers with stiffened nylon shooting strings.

You can see serveral examples here, in a catalog from 1989 -http://forums.insidelacrosse.com/showthread.php?178208-memory-lane-1989-Ulman-Lacrosse-catalog

Now they didn't twist two of them together like Kick Ash has, and that actually might solve some problems that these pockets have with lateral stability.

Why do I know so much? This is how I've been stringing my sticks since I read Ulman catalogs back in the late 80's/early 90's (get off my lawn).
I still have an old Sam strung this way with a graphite shaft.

To answer J. Bass's question they are fantastic in the rain, and there is zero stretch.
You just have to string the pocket exactly how you want it as there is no break-in.
Very little maintenance as well.

I would love to have this pocket. I miss my traditional pocket but playing field lax in a very wet environment makes the maintenance a pain. This might be a nice wet weather alternative. Wonder how the stretch is?
