Video: The Thompsons Being Thompson

Albany took down Stony Brook 17-7 this week, and the Thompsons were back to their old tricks, scoring at will, and making the rest of us look like average lacrosse players. This win was huge for Albany because it wrapped up an America East tourney bid for the Danes (they are 3-0 in conference). The win also got Albany over .500 for the season, as they now sit at 6-5.

Lyle Thompson went off for an insane 8 assists in the game, while Miles Thompson had 7 points on 2 goals and 5 assists. Ty Thompson had four goals on seven shots, and the last one he scores in the video below borders on unfair:

Matt Garzianno benefited from all the Thompson assists as he finished with a hat trick, and Ryan Feuerstein also got in on the giving action with 5 points. 4 of those 5 points were assists! Blaze Riordan made 7 saves for the win. Hayden Johnston made 12 saves while taking the loss, and Challen Rodgers had a big night for Stony Brook scoring 2 goals and assisting on 4 others.

Albany plays next at UMBC on April 19th while Stony Brook currently sits at 5-8 and plays at Binghamton on April 19th.
