It was absolutely freezing on Valentine’s Day in Philly as the Villanova Wildcats (0-1) played host to the #4 Johns Hopkins Blue Jays (2-1) to open their 2015 campaign.
The game was a back and forth battle amongst what seemed to be blizzard-like conditions. The Jays were able to rally late and pull away with the road win, 13-10.
Wells Stanwick led Jays with 2 goals and 5 assists for seven points, his 18th career game with four or more points. Brown (4g), Shack Stanwick (2g, 1a), Cattoni (2g) and Crawley (1g, 1a) all had a multi-point day on Saturday.
Drew Kennedy won 9-of-10 faceoffs while his partner Kevin O’Toole took 9 of 13 wins for Hopkins
Danny Seibel tallied a hat trick and 1 assist for the Wildcats in the loss.
