Vintage (1989) Salisbury University Lacrosse Video

Salisbury Lacrosse 1989 Nazareth Lax
Old School Lacrosse Helmets make me laugh. Their moves don't. Cold as ICE!

Salisbury University is a state school down on the Eastern Shore of Maryland that has been pumping out mohawk-clad National Champions for well over 15 years.  If you’re not an East Coaster, I’ll excuse your ignorance.  But the Gulls are one of the biggest names in college lacrosse and they have produced a number of Pros (Bergey, Hartzell, Smith) and even US team players (Eric Martin).

The Salisbury men’s lacrosse team won Division Three NCAA National Championships in 1994, 1995, 1999, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2007 and 2008 and are almost always a contender to win it all.  Between 2003 and 2006 they won 69 straight games.  Dynasty.  Ok, that’s settled.

This video is from 1989 (that does seem right) and Salisbury can be seen taking on Nazareth.  Looks like they’re up at Naz in Upstate NY.  Jim Berkman looks like the dad on the old 90210 and all is well in the world. Old School lacrosse action at its finest!  Isn’t the internet great!?!?
