In London, England one of the largest higher learning institutions is University College London, or UCL. At UCL, sports fall in to a union known as the UCLU. This year, the UCLU is letting the world decide which sport the world like to see added to the UCL Varsity Series for 2015.
The sports being voted for include: Volleyball, Basketball, Karate, Football, Table Tennis, Badminton and your favorite, LACROSSE!
With around 1,020 of the votes already accounted for, lax is in the lead with 568 votes claiming 56% of all votes. Football is in a not-so-close second with 262. English lacrosse has been steadily growing for decades but this could be a big step in gaining exposure at a higher level.
If we want to see lacrosse really blossom around the globe, we need to get involved and make our voices heard in not just our communities, but anywhere we can around the world. This time we can help build exposure for lacrosse in the heart of Great Britain and it starts with your vote for lacrosse!
