After Wilson's first post on the subject yesterday, I wrote a comment which said, among other things, that the MLL was a glorified summer league; however I thought better of it and didn't post it. I'm glad I didn't because Mitch would probably be looking to open a can of whoop a$$ on me right now if I did
. I think most established lacrosse fans are going to like the NCAA more. They are going to have a more refined game with the tic-tac-toe passes and seamless slides that a lax purist loves to see.The more casual fan is going to to be more drawn to the MLL, amazing players doing amazing things; the kind of stuff you are going to see on the top ten of sports center and are going to get people excited about lacrosse. To what Mitch said, I don't think anyone could deny that MLL players are familiar with the kind of organization you get from NCAA lax because they've all been there, and I'm sure the limited practice MLL get to do together is focused and high intensity; but your point about how hard you need to work on your own is evidence that there is more of individual focus in the MLL as opposed to a team focus in the NCAA.
