Youth Goalie Assist: He’s Going Long

goalie_goal_lacrosse_jam_by_the_sea3

When a goalie decides to take the ball up the field themselves, you always figure they’re going to pass it. Unless I’m playing against Brett Queener or Marty Dunn, that’s what I would expect, at least. In the clip below, I’d be thinking the same thing… this kid is going to pass it, but he doesn’t. Of course then, just when I think he’s never going to pass the ball, the goalie gets some space, and heaves a long bomb assist to an attackman.

Jakob Decano just never does what you’d expect him to:

Never mind the totally needless F-bomb at the :22 second mark. It’s a beauty of a pass!
