This is probably my last before I head off to Prague for the 21st annual Ales Hrebesky Memorial box lacrosse tournament, so I’m going to make it a good one. You can expect plenty of content from the 2014 AHM this week and next week, so for now I’ll leave you with a ton of college lacrosse video action, and what these results mean!

Cornell 14 – Brown 9
Cornell really needed this win to stay on people’s radar and keep pace with Harvard (4-1 in the Ivy), but Brown is a tough out for anyone. The game was tight for a good portion until Cornell exploded for some goals in the 3rd quarter. Don’t sleep on Brown though, the Bears are dangerous!
Harvard 9 – Princeton 8
As I said above, Cornell needs to keep pace with Harvard in the Ivy. Harvard now has wins over Princeton, Cornell, Dartmouth, and Brown, and a loss to Penn in the Ivy. Harvard’s 4 other losses came to UMass and Albany early, and Duke and UNC a little later. Their game with Yale on April 26th is HUGE. Yale is 3-2 in Ivy play with losses to Penn and Cornell. Penn is done with Ivy play at 4-2, with losses to Princeton and Cornell. Basically, the Ivy is confusing.
Marquette’s BIG Comeback
How do you come back on Georgetown when you’re down 9-3? I’m not sure, but Marquette seems to know. They rallied, outscored the Hoyas 7-1 the rest of the way in regulation, and then notched the game winner in OT. Great win for Marquette, and it’s definitely a season where the program built up some confidence.
Richmond Tops Jacksonville 13-12
Richmond needed to win this game to claim a playoff spot in the Atlantic Sun Conference. They knocked off Jacksonville 13-12, and now play VMI and 1st place High Point this week. HUGE win for the Spiders as they are now 2-2 in conference play.

6 Minutes of Vermont vs Hartford
UVM is now 5-7 after this loss to Hartford. They are 5-3 out of conference, but 0-4 in the America East. Hartfors is now 1-3 in the AE, and is tied with Stony Brook at 1-3 in AE play. Those two teams play this week to see who gets the #4 seed.
Drexel 13 – Towson 7
Tufts Tops Wesleyan In Top 20 Battle
Tufts and Wesleyan battled fiercely early on in Medford, MA on Saturday. The home side Jumbos went on a tear in the 3rd and 4th quarters, and pulled away to win by 6 goals, 17-11. Tufts is now 12-2 and Wesleyan drops to 10-4. Tufts plays Bowdoin on Wednesday, and Wesleyan hosts Conn College.
Tufts has been doing an incredible job with highlights this year. Well worth a watch!

Lynchburg Defeats W&L 11-8
Lyncburg is now 6-1 in ODAC play, as is W&L. Lbrug’s loss is to Roanoke, who sits at 8-1 in conference, with a loss to W&L. If Lynchburg and W&L finish out the regular ODAC season without another loss, you’ve got a three way tie for first according the wins and losses. Interesting parity situation! I say give the semifinals hosting site to the #4 team if that happens!
