Happy Monday and I hope everyone enjoyed that awesome weekend of late spring lax! Now it’s time to gear up for the week, and what better way to kick things off than with some fresh new country from a former bonafide athlete? Today on Music Monday, we are featuring former UAB Blazer quarterback Sam Hunt, who moved to Nashville to start a career in music after graduating.
Sam has made a name for himself writing country songs for artists like Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban and Billy Currington. He also happens to be a pretty darn good musician himself and is currently recording an album that’s set to release later this year. What we have here are some of his recent acoustic recordings, just to get everyone excited for the album.
Although country is one of those love or hate kind of genres, Hunt has a pretty unique sound, incorporating a lot of musical elements from outside the country realm that I think make him a great listen for all music fans. Enjoy the music and go Blazers!
