To go along with an AMAZING 2016 NJCAA National Championship, we have an amazing 2016 NJCAA National Championship highlight video! Genesee CC defeated Onondaga CC 13-12 in OT to claim their first EVER national title in men’s lacrosse.
This was a huge upset, a shocker to many, but not to Genesee!
2016 NJCAA National Championship Highlights
2016 saw Onondaga dethroned for much of the season as the #1 team in the polls by powerhouse Nassau CC. Genesee had to knock off Nassau, and THEN Onondaga, to win the title, and behind two one goal wins, they made magic happen. The game was cold, and there was heavy snow and heavy rain at times. It was NASTY, but the Genesee Cougars pulled out the OT win, and took their first ever title in men’s lacrosse!
Congrats to Coach Hoover and the entire Genesee CC lacrosse family on the historic win!
