2018 WPLL Collegiate Draft set for Monday

The 2018 WPLL Collegiate Draft will be broadcast across social media on Monday, May 7th at 8:00pm ET. Monday’s draft, sponsored by Lacrosse All Stars, will see twenty-five top 2018 graduates invited to join the Women’s Professional Lacrosse League (WPLL) for its inaugural season, which kicks off on June 2nd.

So far the 2018 college season has been very exciting. In addition to incredible team and individual play, we and have seen some longstanding NCAA records shattered. The WPLL hopes to continue the excitement this summer, bringing fans a league that includes the top 2018 graduates.

Top 2018 graduates include several NCAA record holders, including career point leader Kylie Ohlmiller from Stony Brook University, career goal scoring leader Courtney Murphy from Stony Brook University, and Maryland career goal scoring leader Megan Whittle.

Players selected in the WPLL draft are invited to join the league after the conclusion of their current college season. The New York Fight holds the first pick overall, followed by the Baltimore Brave, the Philadelphia Fire, the New England Command, and the Upstate Pride.
