2020 MCLA Highlights: Cal vs. Santa Clara

The second ranked CAL Bears host the Santa Clara Broncos in an early season lacrosse match in Memorial Stadium, Berkeley. Nationally ranked second in the MCLA, CAL faces its first real test of the season against the Bronco’s bruising defense. Captain Jake Pistotnik, leads the CAL offense, which scored an average of 15 goal per game last season. The Bears were undefeated in the 2019 regular season and their only loss was in the MCLA Championship game.

SoCal Lacrosse Family Raises Money, Awareness at Aaron Loy Lacrosse Shootout

The Southern California lacrosse family came together last Saturday at La Costa Canyon High School in San Diego for the Aaron Loy Lacrosse Shootout. Loy, a freshman lacrosse player at UCSB and 2013 graduate of La Costa Canyon, fell ill with Neisseria (bacterial) meningitis in November, and had his feet amputated in order to save his life after complications. The tournament, which featured 10 games with over 300 players ranging from 5th Grade to Grandmasters (40 plus), was organized by the La Costa Canyon lacrosse community in support of Loy and his family.
