What’s up LAS? My name is Michael Allen and I’m the new communications intern at Lacrosse All Stars. I thought I’d take a moment to tell you a little bit about myself. I’ve lived in Boise almost my entire life and love it here. I first got involved with lacrosse 13 years ago at a […]
Paul Carcaterra and I called the four Naptown National Challenge Championship games from Annapolis on Wednesday for ESPNU and ESPN+. The games were all tight and highly entertaining. The play on the field was intense and super skilled. There were over 240 college coaches in attendance during the week, scrutinizing and evaluating potential recruits. This premiere […]
Major League Lacrosse announced its 2020 season award recipients this week, and Isaiah Davis-Allen was at the top of the list. It was announced today that he received “Dave Huntley Man of the Year” accolades. And rightfully so – Isaiah, or “IDA” as he’s well known, has been put at the forefront of a challenging […]
The Bayhawks hit the road this week, hot off Casey Powell’s MLL return and a huge overtime win over Boston, to face the undefeated Denver Outlaws in Mile High Stadium. The game would open with a quick goal from Denver’s Jeremy Sieverts (former Bayhawk) only to be answered equally as quickly by Chesapeake’s Drew Westervelt (former Outlaw).
It’s Tuesday, the week is out of the gates, and it’s starting to smell like lax season! I hope everyone enjoyed their MLK holiday, whether they had the day off or not. Props to Michael Allen for hitting you with a profound and quality Music Monday to remember Dr. King.
This week I wanted to bring you something special in honor of Veteran’s Day and the good ol’ US of A. Now, I can’t take credit for the creation of this top string. Our very own Michael Allen sent me a photo and suggested it may make a great TST… He was right, obviously, so I wanted to break it down through an easy to follow photo tutorial.
The UCSB club puts on the SB60 Elite, where 60 high level players come together for college level coaching and drilling, led by Michael Allen. While the concept of a small side elite camp is not unique, I do think the way they filmed the action is special. They used a flying drone to film the camp!
Please welcome our resident Hip-Hop head, Michael Allen, to Music Monday!
Time to tune in – it’s Tuesday which means your second dose of tune juice for the week! I have to say, this one is a real pleasure to post. The Boston duo better known as Aer, which has been killing a chill triad of reggae, rap and rock, has added a milestone to their ‘Fresh Aer Movement’ with the new, self-titled album Aer.
The USLL has announced it’s first franchise in league history. The Maine Moose Trax will be playing out of the Cumberland County Civic Center in Portland, Maine starting in the fall of 2014.
Get your Halloween costume ready… It’s contest time at Lacrosse All Stars again!
A couple weeks ago Kyle Harrison made his way to the home of Lacrosse All Stars, Boise, Idaho. Kyle hosted three shooting clinics for youth and high school lacrosse players, and we were lucky enough to grab a few minutes of his time.
