Syracuse and Army squared off last Sunday in what was an exciting NCAA lacrosse game from start to finish. Check out our Syracuse – Army lacrosse photo gallery.

Army held the 6-5 lead entering the fourth quarter, when Syracuse went on a 4-1 goal run to clinch the game in the final period.

Jamie Trimboli exploded for Syracuse, having five of the Orange’s nine goals on the day. Brendan Nichtern had two goals and two assists — good for four points — to lead the Black Knight offense.

Army has hit a rough stretch, as they lost to unranked Marist on February 18 and then the No. 5 ranked Orange on Sunday. The Black Knights will look to rebound against Holy Cross this Saturday.

Syracuse will try to ground the high-flying Hobart offense on Friday at the Carrier Dome. This will be the Orange’s fourth-straight home game to open the season.
